Melania Trump, wife of Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump, spoke out for the first time Monday since a videotape was released of her husband making lewd comments about women in 2005, saying, "we are moving on".

As of now, it seems unlikely that Bush will be asked to join the Trump TV network Donald is reportedly trying to get off the ground.

Bush was suspended at the morning show two days after contents of the 2005 tape were reported on October 7.

"I said to my husband that, you know, the language is inappropriate".

Billy Bush is officially no longer a TODAY show host as of Monday (October 18), following an October 7 Washington Post story that featured video of Bush exchanging flagrantly sexist comments with GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump in 2005. "I look forward to what lies ahead", Bush said in a statement.

Donald Trump prepares for an appearance on "Days of Our Lives" in 2005 with actress Arianne Zucker, accompanied by "Access Hollywood" host Billy Bush.

The settlement with NBC did not include a non-compete clause, meaning Bush "is a free agent", said his lawyer, Marshall Grossman.

"Anyone who knows me knows these words don't reflect who I am", Trump later said. I believe my husband.

Trump, who has kept a low profile during her husband's presidential bid, gave her first television interviews since the October 7 release of the tape that has shaken Donald Trump's campaign. "It's like a magnet". So you know, I know he respects women. Grab them by the p****. Trump's son Eric Trump acknowledged in a radio interview with KNUS in Denver that the comments were "unacceptable" but added the oft-repeated caveat that it could be classified as "locker room banter" and "two alpha guys in a thing".

Bush was just months into a three-year contract and was reported to be paid about $3 million a year.

Last week, People magazine writer Natasha Stoynoff, Jessica Leeds, Rachel Crooks, and Temple Taggart McDowell, all came forward and accused Trump of sexual assault, which he has denied.

The third hour features lighter fare: interviews with actors Nick Offerman and Ethan Hawke on Tuesday, a segment on the hosts of HGTV's "Fixer Upper" and another offering style advice to married couples.
