Vanity Fair Mexico's Cover Recycles an Old GQ Photo of Melania Trump

A smiling Melania Trump is front and center, sporting a simple white outfit and twirling silver jewels on a fork like linguini.

President Donald Trump's wife posed for the magazine's February issue, released Thursday, amid political tensions between the US and Mexico over a proposed wall along their shared border - and who will pay for it. Trump has insisted that Mexico will fund construction of the wall he wants to build on the southern USA border. Newly-minted first lady Melania Trump graces the cover in a Douglas Friedman-shot photo, with a cover line that promises to reveal how she deals with her presidential husband and how she may be the next Jackie Kennedy. The same image and story appeared in the April 2016 issue of GQ magazine.

Mexicans have been taking to social media to express their dismay at the cover, calling it "a humilitation" for the country and its people.
