Little Girl Sustains 3rd Degree Burns While Making Homemade Slime

Kathleen Quinn, 11, began experiencing intense pain in her hands after playing with slime countless times. She says she woke up in the middle of the night with severe pain in her hands.

Kathleen's family took her to the hospital where they learned she had second and third-degree burns on her hands as a result from prolonged exposure to the slime.

"Quinn said she feels 'terrible" after watching Kathleen suffer through the burns, which caused her to miss a week of school.

Creating "slime" has become a social media phenomenon.
