This confirms the possibility for the Samsung Galaxy X release date in later years. Bear in mind this is applicable only to pre-orders, right at this moment. Samsung is not the only company reportedly working on a foldable smartphone, as device manufacturers look to provide users with something remarkable.

The new smartphone has received favourable reviews ahead of the start of sales in South Korea, the United States and Canada on April 21. The Galaxy S8 features a 3,000mAh battery, while the Galaxy S8+ is fuelled by a 3,500mAh battery. The Galaxy flagships feature a 5.8-inch and 6.2-inch QHD AMOLED "Infinity Display" with the front and rear sides encased in Gorilla Glass 5. Besides the fingerprint scanner, which we have seen since the S5, the S8 also incorporates an iris scanner and face detection.

Following the official statement, consumers who opt to buy the newest offering from Samsung will have to wait until the early part of the second half of the year to get the complete experience of Bixby.

To recall, the Samsung Galaxy S8 features a 1.9GHz octa-core Samsung Exynos 8895 processor paired with 4GB of RAM. Both the smartphones were unveiled on March 29 at the Galaxy Unpacked event in New York City.

This is the first time Samsung didn't announce their flagship Galaxy devices at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, but that doesn't seem to have deterred their resolve to compete at the top levels. Described as something that can be "folded or unfolded semi-automatically", if this technology will actually take form of reality, it will certainly spark a new trend in the market.
