Foreign Secretary Tehmina Janjua said that consular access could not be allowed to a spy.

"Lulzsec India" - a team of 11 hackers had shot to limelight after they brought down 30 Pakistani Government websites after the Govt announced death penalty to former Indian Navy Officer Kulbhushan Jadhav, as a mark of protest.

India on Wednesday filed a petition in a Pakistan court against the death sentence awarded to alleged spy Kulbhushan Jadhav. "The mother of Shri Jadhav has requested the intervention of the Federal Government of Pakistan for his release and has expressed the desire to meet him", said the MEA communique.

"This petition seeks justice for Mr. Kulbhushan Jadhav an Indian citizen and ex-naval officer aged about 46 years who was abducted from Iran and taken to Pakistan", the petition read.

This is the second time the Indian High Commissioner has called on Janjua since the death sentence was handed to Jadhav on April 10.

The source added that the foreign secretary informed the high commissioner that it was the first time in the history of the region that a serving officer of the armed forces had been nabbed who was involved in terrorism-related activities in Pakistan.

Earlier, Pakistan army released a "confessional video" of Jadhav and claimed that he was arrested from the restive Balochistan province on March 3, last year.

The White House petition has been created anonymously by an individual who goes by the initials S.S. He or she said on "We the People Petition" that the allegations against Jadhav that he was spying for India is totally false and fabricated. After the first meeting on April 14, Bambawale had told reporters, "We have said that at the minimum, we should be allowed to meet him".

Army spokesman Major General Asif Ghafoor last week said consular access can not be given to Jadhav because he is a spy.

India has, however, so far categorically denied such charges. Pakistan Foreign Office has said that during the period of trial of Jadhav, due judicial process was followed and he was provided a lawyer in accordance with relevant laws and the Constitution of Pakistan.
