South Korea's In-Kyung Kim wins ShopRite LPGA Classic

Historic first for India as Aditi, Sharmila set to tee off at LPGA

Creamer was happy to be tied for the lead after taking a penalty stroke at her final hole, before getting up-and-down to save par. In-Kyung Kim, of South Korea, tees off on the third hole during the final round of the ShopRite LPGA Classic golf tournament Sunday, June 4, 2017, in Galloway Township, N.J.

"I hit the ball really well today and got a few putts going early, and then kept hitting my wedges really well", the 29-year-old said after a round that included nine birdies and two bogeys. "It was so windy, just keeping it in play was tough", said Kim after a round that saw the leaders take nearly five hours to finish.

"You can't shoot over par on Sunday, that's for sure", Creamer said.

Ko, who has held top spot for 84 weeks, is not playing in the event and was certain to relinquish her crown to either Ariya, another absentee in New Jersey, or Ryu, who had to finish at least third to displace the New Zealander. I love this golf course, I love hitting the shots.

"You know, I really prepared for this, I really didn't expect it right away, but I knew my game was better than previous year", Kim said, after claiming her fifth LPGA Tour victory.

"Since I dreamed about the LPGA tour I also dreamed about becoming the number one player in the world", Ryu said this week as she prepared for Friday's opening round.

"This winter I didn't have any break, I needed some time to get ready for the summer", Kim said. "It was just a hard afternoon with the wind".

Kim enjoyed a two-shot swing at the 10th with her birdie and Creamer's bogey.

Nordqvist held part of the lead during the middle of her round Sunday, but South Korea's In-Kyung Kim's 11-under-par total was too much for her to eclipse.

"Feel like I had a good putt on ..." "It was really tricky out there, but I gave my best".

“It just really fits my eye, ” Nordqvist said.

"Overall I feel like I played a bit better than I scored", Nordqvist told reporters.

Nordqvist stayed in touch all day in her bid for a "three-peat" but her own 69 left her two adrift on 204.

Jutanugarn closed with a 72 to also tie for seventh at 6 under.

The last time Ryu did not complete a tournament was the 2014 Evian Masters, where she was disqualified after the first round.
