Destiny 2 - Expansion I: Curse of Osiris Livestreams

Bungie details Curse of Osiris DLC 3

Today's Bungie live stream was the first of three providing additional details about the upcoming Destiny 2 Curse of Osiris expansion. On Mercury is a place called the Infinite Forest, which is described as "a reality engine the Vex use to simulate all the aspects of reality that they can touch, because they are looking for something specific". Topside, players will be able to explore Mercury's Plains of Glass.

While you were gunning your way through the campaign, "past and future" machines flocked to an ancient gate on Mercury to create an army with the goal of restructuring the entire universe as they see fit.

Bungie details Curse of Osiris DLC 2
Tune in to 'Curse of Osiris' Stream One – New Stories to Tell

With Destiny 2's Expansion Pass priced at £30, it's clear that Expansion I: Curse of Osiris isn't going to be as meaty as the likes of Th Taken King or Rise of Iron were for Destiny. The studio introduced a Raid Lair, which includes its own set of puzzles and bosses, similar to the raid.

The reveal event kicks off at 11 a.m. PT on Wednesday, November 15 on Twitch. Called Leviathan, Eater of Worlds, it takes place on Calus's ship - like the existing Leviathan Raid - but is set in the mechanical Underbelly areas near where you go chest hunting rather than the palace explored in Leviathan. The lair for Leviathan, Eater of Worlds, will require six players like the normal raid does, and will still require a high power level, but will not be as lengthy as the normal raid.

Bungie also revealed that the Heroic Strikes playlist will make a return.

The developers revealed a number of story details, concept art, and even showed some live gameplay of some of the new locations found in the DLC, which will release on all platforms on december 5. We will be getting new area's in old raids. Bungie also plans to bump up the Power Level requirements and rewards for the vanilla Leviathan raid, so players will still have reason to play it as well. There, you'll apparently follow the Guardian's efforts to save Osiris from the Vex. It will have a Prestige mode, if you're the tough type.
