Princess Charlotte Looks So Big In New Nursery School Photos

But something else was undeniably noticeable in Princess Charlotte's pictures: her uncanny resemblance to her great-grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II.

On Monday, the Royal Family shared new photos of the two-year-old ahead of her first day of class at Willcocks Nursery School.

The 2-year-old is shown on the steps of the palace in one photo and standing holding onto a rail in another.

The nursery school, founded in 1964, is housed in a church hall just a short walk from Kensington Palace.

The Cambridges will then be prompted to see if their daughter, who can bring a favourite photo or toy from home, "is happy to be left".

She had a little backpack on her back, and was beaming with excitement, showing none of the nerves that her older brother, Princes George, 4, displayed when he arrived for his first day of primary school a year ago. The four-year-old prince was accompanied on his first day by his father, William.

Charlotte won't wear a uniform and will need to bring a lunch box from home at Willcocks, where her schedule will be jam-packed.

The little girl looked so cute in her dark red coat, pink scarf and red Mary Janes as she went to the Willcocks Nursery School, a private school in West London.
