The article, along with jokes from social media had many fans of Ben Affleck stepping up to say that he was being body shamed, but Affleck stood up for himself in a amusing tweet.

If Ben Affleck really didn't want the world to know about his massive rising phoenix tattoo, then it's possible he's now living his worst nightmare.

The "Justice League" actor, who typically stays away from social media, broke his silence on the pressing national conversation about his body ink, which he previously claimed was "fake for a movie". "Thick skin bolstered by garish tattoos", he wrote. According to a report, Affleck responded to a magazine which suggested he was depressed after new photos surfaced of Affleck on a beach with a large tattoo of a phoenix on his back.

"A phoenix rising from the ashes".

'Fake for a movie, ' he said rather flustered in the 2016 chat. At the time, Affleck was in talks over his divorce with his then wife for 10 years, Jennifer Garner, and he claimed that the ink was just temporary, something that was needed for his film Live By Night.

The article also criticized Affleck's looks, noting "his gut is pooching outward" and comparing him to cartoon character Homer Simpson.

Jennifer also found Ben's tattoo unflattering. 'Bless his heart,'" Garner said, adding, "Am I the ashes in this scenario?.

Ben has not tweeted anything since December.

Even Matt Damon was forced to respond, when The Daily Show host Trevor Noah asked him about his best friend's interesting artwork.

Ben Affleck had some fun with a story that he's not happy. She writes that it relates to all of us in a way: "There is something about this exhausted father that reflexively induces panic. We've been living in a world run by Afflecks for so long, will we even know ourselves when they're gone?" "I support him in all of his artistic expression", Matt said.
