The Russo Brothers Urge Fans To Refrain From Spoiling Avengers: Infinity War

AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR (2018) TV Spot: The 'One Goal' For Either Side is Victory

With Infinity War set to hit theaters in just a few short weeks, directors Joe and Anthony Russo have issued a friendly PSA for anyone lucky enough to see the film early on. "This letter was originally addressed to me", he tweeted. The letter reveals that there will be limited screenings around the world showing select footage, but the film will not be screened in its entirety prior to the L.A. premiere.

"Everyone involved with the film has worked incredibly hard the past two years maintaining the highest level of secrecy", the letter reads.

The directors ask fans to keep the film's secrets in a way that's reminiscent of J.K. Rowling's #KeepTheSecrets campaign for "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child".

An unprecedented cinematic journey ten years in the making and spanning the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe, Marvel Studios' "Avengers: Infinity War" brings to the screen the ultimate, deadliest showdown of all time. The Russos, who've already been out on massive press tours for Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Captain America: Civil War, know this, and they're taking steps to make sure the film's promotional juggernaut doesn't end up steamrolling fans along the way.

There is always the looming threat of spoilers surfacing on the internet, particularly in the case of Avengers: Infinity War - a highly anticipated release that has been in the making for almost ten years. "Don't spoil it for other, the same you wouldn't want it spoiled for you".

Another precaution was keeping the script out of the actors' hands. The campaign includes a commercial, which debuted during the NCAA Men's Basketball Championship game, as well as placement of Quicken Loans' Rocket Mortgage in the film's opening scenes, and online ads, social media, videos and more.

Anyway kids, don't spoil the freaking movie. Do you think the trailers should stop at this point or does it get you more hyped up every time you see one?

Holland isn't the only spoiler-prone Avenger.

Marvel never likes for its movies to be spoiled (remember when we were all afraid for Mark Ruffalo after he accidentally live-streamed part of the "Thor: Ragnarok" premiere?).
